Scrooge & The Rich Fool
In this sermon, we explore the sobering parable of the Rich Fool - a man who confuses full barns with a full life and discovers too late that wealth cannot save his soul. Like Ebenezer Scrooge he Rich Fool believes security is something you store, not someone you trust. Both men measure life by accumulation, not generosity; by control, not compassion. Yet while Scrooge is awakened by grace before it’s too late, Jesus warns that the Rich Fool never makes that turn. This message implores us to answer tough questions like: What am I living for? and What do I believe will save me? True life isn’t found in bigger barns or tighter fists, but in open hands, awakened hearts, and a trust that treasures God above all else.
